The Arrival Of The Messiah And Netflix's Hidden Agenda
Earlier this week Netflix had tweeted the newly released trailer to their upcoming series ‘Messiah’. The series will consist of ten episodes, which will be released on January 1st 2020.
Whilst watching the trailer, everything seemed to be normal for the first few seconds. I mean, in all honesty, it just had the usual vibes of any regular trailer for any old thriller. But the more you delve into the trailer there was so much more detail that you end up focusing upon, making you sit back and think that something seems to be a bit off with the whole storyline.
By analysing the script of the trailer and essentially all the subliminal messages - there are so many aspects which make you reconsider what is this series trying to portray. All of this is amplified with the sound effects, which add to the adrenaline of the trailer and intensify the mysteriousness of it all.
For many Muslims out there, such as myself and for many Christians this newly released trailer has caused a lot of controversies.
The protagonist, who is played by Mehdi Debhi goes by the name of Al Massih Ad-Dajjal…So, could it get any more obvious what the underlying synopsis is of the show? The show is about the anti-christ ascending to the Earth. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the meaning of Al Massih Ad-Dajjal, it translates to The Antichrist, The False Messiah, The Imposter, The Great Deceiver, The One-Eyed Liar.
Now by this, you can see why many people of religion have taken to the world of Twitter to express why they have been triggered. As the prediction of the Anti-Christ's arrival is a matter which is not taken lightly as it is one of the signs for the day of judgement. Twitter users had revealed supposed spoilers, where one had predicted that Al-Massih would lose an eye. This resulted in the user being blocked by Netflix and if you ask me this just seems a little bit suspicious...
Signs with the Quran and the Bible to the protagonist and the story all match up. The detail and accuracy, judging by the trailer all add up, which all lead to me thinking whether Netflix has a hidden agenda with bringing this series to our screens? Is it a possibility that Netflix is predicting the future? Many examples have previously been seen with other iconic TV shows such as The Simpsons. We shall wait and see…
